This is a place for open dialogue, and I am sure it will get heated at times. These are our opinions, and there are few things we cling to as tightly and emotionally as our political beliefs. Such is life in our time; we can still embrace it and discuss it.

I am a conservative, but as I talk with more and more people on the opposite side of the spectrum I realize there is common ground to be found on many of the political topics of the day. That doesn’t mean discussions do not get heated, but it does mean we have the ability to moderate our own emotions and realize that MOST (not all) people want to find this common ground. The question is usually WHO is responsible for carrying out the things we agree upon and HOW do we go about finding actual solutions? As a conservative, I also ask HOW MUCH it will cost, and WHO or WHAT will pay for it.

Just remember that history and culture matter in these conversations, as do facts.
